Years in practice?
What percentage of your collections are cash?
How many years have you been a non-insurance dependent practice?
If you converted from insurance dependence to non-insurance dependence (NID), what percentage was insurance before?
Why type of practice do you have, i.e. family, wellness, sports, etc.?
Family Wellness
Why do you not take insurance?
5% of the practice is from Personal Injury patients
Please share with us your number 1 best practice for being NID?
Being NID makes you put on you're A game. When you accountable to the patient and not a third party we believe that you will be more apt to give the best care possible.
What advice do you have for chiropractors out there that are insurance dependent?
With the health insurance market changing drastically it now not a question of if you will become NID but rather when. Becoming NID is inevitable, period.
Briefly, how did you switch over?
What were the largest hurdles?
Initially the office would field calls and the prospective patient would ask what insurance do you take, now that the office is referral based that question is rarely asked. The patients that are referred into the office are already aware that we are NID.
